Things have officially been filed. Oh, we also went to a dungeon this past Saturday and we played! I had so much fun!! Now I kinda wanna go to all the parties, but I’ll try to pace myself a bit.
Anyway, the paperwork is now in progress. The next thing will be to receive the receipt for the filing fee (10-14 days from now), wait for the utility bill to update with my name on it so I can go to a bank and open an account and go to the DMV and get (or see if I can get) a CA driver’s license. According to Maria (our lawyer), some of her clients have been able to do it with just the filing fee receipt. It’s totally wort a shot either way.
Anyway, after the receipt it’s fingerprinting time (35-40 days), EAD+travel documents (30-90 days) and green card interview (4-5 months). So technically, if everything goes according to plan, I should have my green card in 6 months, i.e. in March. Exciting and nerve-wracking! I hope everything goes well.
There’s another playparty this weekend on Saturday, and I kinda really wanna go. I think my lovely husband would like to as well. We’ll see.
