I had my first doctor’s appointment today, a Dr. Frishberg (neurologist), in Carlsbad. K was nice enough to take the day off and come with me, thank god for that man. The doc did a neuro status exam, we talked a bit about how I was diagnosed and he was in full agreement on my continuing Gilenya. He ordered some blood work to be done, told me to start chowing down on Vitamin D (5000 units per day), wrote a prescription for meds and ordered an MRI to be done within the next three months or so (pending authorization from insurance), followed by another visit to see him some time end of January. I really liked this doctor, he seemed very knowledgeable and friendly and worldly despite the older age. Hopefully the insurance company won’t make any trouble.
The cats are still separated, there was some initial hissing and growling – mainly from Min and Munster, Lily is cool as a cucumber – but they’re interacting a bit more and I even got them to sort of play with each other through the baby gate.
Still no news on the USCIS front, I checked the status and apparently they sent out a request for something or other yesterday, but it hasn’t arrived yet so I have no idea what that might be. NERVOUS.
